Requirements of Primary Teacher Jobs in Qatar with Visa Sponsorship
- Degree in Primary Education specializing in English with QTS (Qualified Teachers Status or equivalent).
- Ideally, 2 years of teaching experience although STRONG NQTs (Newly Qualified Teacher or equivalent) will be considered
- Western Trained
- Native Speaker of English
Being able to speak Arabic is beneficial
Experience with the UK Primary National Curriculum is beneficial
Being able to adjust in an Islamic faith school is essential - Able to adapt to the working culture in Qatar
- Competent to use ICT in the classroom
Job Duties of a Primary Teacher:
- Responsible for student learning from Grades 1-6.
- Create Lesson plans and incorporate technologies like whiteboard animation, LED Smart Notepads, etc.
- Instruct students in basic Science, English, and, Maths.
- Divide the class into activity groups and design classroom/ homework tasks or activities.
- Mark and assess student’s performance and record it to inform parents.
- Work closely with the other grade-level teachers to ensure that students achieve their potential at the school.
