THE ROLE:
An On-call Waiter is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to deliver an excellent Guest and Member experience while having extensive knowledge of menu offerings. So, to get eligible for this post, you should have at least 2 years of experience as a Waiter with a Good Command of English. Knowing Turkish would be a great plus. Job Duties of a Waiter/ Waitress at Hilton Istanbul:
- To prepare the setup of tables and chairs for the next service period
- To ensure that the items like chinaware and cutlery are clean and in good shape
- To ensure that the area he is responsible for is ready for service clean and with the right equipment and goods
- To ensure that all the sofas and chairs are clean and drop-free before the service
- To participate in Pre-Service Meetings
- To actively take part in pre-service preparations
- To check if the guest has a special request check the reservation in prior, make preparations if required
- To communicate effectively and professionally with other departments
- To assist guests with seating and taking care of their bags and coats
- To present menu and wine to guests
- To ensure that details like Dessert and coffee are added to the cheque
- To check that the guest has not forgotten anything while leaving
- To inform the Restaurant Supervisor of Guest recommendations concerning any development area
