As a Herds person you will play a crucial role in the daily care and management of our Holsteins herd. You will be responsible for ensuring the health, well-being, and productivity of our animals while upholding our commitment to sustainable farming practices.
• Overall management of the herd to meet achievable efficiency targets
. • Keeping all records up to date
• Creating a tidy environment, leading by example.
• Taking full responsibility for dry cow/transition management, calving cows, cell counts, colostrum protocols, fertility etc.
• Liaising with vets, business advisers.
• Managing the monthly foot trimmer’s requirements.
• AI & Foot trimming experience Essential
• Potential showing opportunities for the right person.
