Job Description of a Baker Apprentice/ Bakery Assistant:

• Preparing and baking sourdough bread loaves, baguettes, and rolls as your lead baker or bakery workers guide you. Observing the production process carefully first.
• Preparing viennoiserie, pastries inclusive of glazing pastries as per the guidelines.
• Kneading, maturing, cutting, molding, mixing, and shaping the dough
• Monitoring oven temperatures and product appearance to determine baking times. You should maintain a notebook for temperature readings.
• You should maintain a work file/ notebook for all the menu recipes.
• Coordinating the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling of batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products
• Operating machines that roll and mold dough after taking the proper training.
